I’m a huge fan of ridiculously simple snacks that satisfy your snacky cravings without requiring 12 ingredients or being filled with ones you can’t pronounce.
These five easy, healthy 3 ingredient snacks are perfect when you want something sweet, need a quick afternoon snack, or just want something that feels a little more exciting than grabbing a handful of crackers or a protein bar.
Some of these can even pull double duty as a quick breakfast, ya know, for those days when you don’t have time to make your own cashew butter before work.

What Makes a Good Healthy 3 Ingredient Snack?
I don’t think every snack needs to be perfectly balanced or contain exactly x grams of protein, fiber, carbs, and fat. Sometimes a snack is just a snack. No overanalyzing required, people.
That said, when possible, I like combining foods that give me a little staying power rather than something that leaves me rumaging through the pantry again 20 minutes later.
Think: protein + fiber + healthy fats
You don’t necessarily need all three every single time, but it’s a pretty handy little formula. And these recipes make that easy:

1. Strawberry Peanut Butter Bark
Chocolate-covered strawberries meet peanut butter cups, except this version takes about five minutes of actual work.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup unsweetened peanut butter
- ½ cup dark chocolate, 70% or higher
How to Make It: Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. Arrange the strawberry slices in a flat layer, then drizzle or spread the peanut butter over them.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave for about one minute. Stir, then continue heating in 15-second intervals until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter and gently spread it across the top.
Freeze until firm, then break into about six pieces.
Keep your bark in the freezer so it holds its shape. I like letting a piece sit out for about 20 minutes before eating it so the strawberries soften slightly.
Nutrition: Approximately 185 calories, 14g fat, 10g carbs, and 4g protein per serving.
Try this: Swap peanut butter for almond or cashew butter if that’s what you already have.
2. Banana Almond Energy Bites
These are somewhere between a snack bite and little blobs of banana cookie dough. I mean “blobs” in the best possible way, lol.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe medium banana
- About 1 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
How to Make Them: Mash the banana in a medium bowl.
Gradually stir in the almond flour until you have a soft dough. You may need slightly more or less than one cup depending on the size and ripeness of your banana. Fold in the chocolate.
Scoop into eight bite-sized balls and refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm.
Serving size: 2 bites.
Nutrition: The original recipe provides approximately 110 calories, 7g fat, 9g carbs and 3g protein per serving.
Try This: Add a dash of cinnamon to elevate the flavor profile just enough to keep you craving these time and time again.

3. Chocolate Yogurt Fudge
This one sounds way fancier than the amount of work involved, which is exactly the kind of recipe I like.
Ingredients:
- 1¼ cups low-sugar chocolate chips or chopped 70% dark chocolate
- ¾ cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt, at room temperature
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup, optional
How to Make It: Line a 9 x 4-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate in 20-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each one, until completely smooth. Let it cool for a minute or two.
Quickly stir in the room-temperature Greek yogurt until creamy. Add the maple syrup now if you’d like yours a little sweeter.
Spread into your prepared pan and refrigerate for at least an hour. Once firm, cut into 12 squares.
Important: Don’t use yogurt straight from the fridge. Cold yogurt can cause the melted chocolate to seize and turn gritty. And nobody asked for gritty fudge.
Nutrition: Calories 90, Fat 6g, Carbs 7g, Protein 2.5g depending on which yogurt you use.
Store the finished fudge in the refrigerator for up to five days.
4. Frozen Yogurt Berry Bark
This might be my favorite kind of recipe because it’s basically:
Spread. Sprinkle. Freeze.
Congratulations, you’ve made a delicious snack!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup mixed berries
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
How to Make It: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the yogurt into a thin layer.
Add sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or whatever berries you have, then sprinkle the pecans over the top.
Freeze for about two hours or until completely firm. Break into pieces and enjoy.
Make it more filling: Use a higher-protein Greek yogurt.

5. Air Fryer Cinnamon Sweet Potato Chips
Not every snack has to involve chocolate. Although I’m not opposed to that lifestyle.
These cinnamon sweet potato chips are great when you’re craving something crunchy but want something a little different.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium sweet potato, very thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
How to Make Them: Toss the sweet potato slices with melted coconut oil and cinnamon until they’re evenly coated. Arrange them in a thin layer in your air fryer.
Cook at 325°F for approximately 11–14 minutes, or until crisp. Add a small pinch of salt while they’re still hot and allow them to cool slightly before eating.
The original recipe makes about two cups, with a serving size of approximately ½ cup.
Nutrition: Calories: 100, Fat: 4g, Carbs: 15g, Protein: 1g
The Easiest 3-Ingredient Snack Formula
The best thing about these simple, healthy 3 ingredient snacks is that you don’t actually need a recipe every time.
Use this simple formula instead: Choose a base + add a flavor + finish it with something fun.
For example:
Base: banana, yogurt, berries, sweet potato, almond flour, canned pumpkin, oats or chia seeds
Flavor: cinnamon, chocolate, nut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, citrus zest or espresso powder
Finish: shaved chocolate, seeds, coconut, crushed nuts, granola or crushed gluten-free pretzels.
Suddenly you’ve got dozens of combinations without needing another recipe.
A few ideas to get you started:
Banana + peanut butter + dark chocolate
Greek yogurt + berries + granola
Pumpkin + Greek yogurt + cinnamon
Chia pudding + berries + coconut
Apple slices + peanut butter + crushed pecans
And that is much closer to how I want you thinking about healthy food anyway. You don’t need more complicated rules. You need a handful of easy options you can actually remember when you’re hungry.
Healthy Eating Doesn’t Need More Homework
One of the biggest reasons healthy habits fall apart isn’t because we don’t know what we’re “supposed” to do.
It’s because the thing we’re trying to do requires more time, planning, or energy than we actually have that day.
Food is no different. Having a few stupid-simple meals and snacks in your back pocket means you don’t have to start over every week just because your weekend went a little sideways.
Make the healthy choice easier to do.
That’s the habit.
